Learn Jewelry Making by Getting Started with Bead Stringing

Author:
Eri Attebery

Article:
As a jewelry making teacher, I often talk to ladies who want to
learn how to make jewelry, but they aren't sure how to get
started. I can understand this because it isn't always obvious
from looking at jewelry pieces to know what would be easy to
make, and what would be difficult to make.

Like most things, if you jump in to soon and work on something
you're not ready for, you will probably end up being frustrated,
start to think you can't do it, and quit. My suggestion is always
to crawl before you walk before you run. That way you can
quickly build confidence in your abilities and you will enjoy
seeing yourself improve as you start to take on more challenging
jewelry making projects.

From my experience with new students the best way to learn
to crawl when it comes to jewelry making is to learn simple
bead stringing techniques first. Doing so will get you
comfortable with simple jewelry making techniques, materials,
and tools before you move on to try something more difficult.
And the nice thing is that you can still make a lot of very
beautiful jewelry pieces even with simple bead weaving
techniques.

For the most part, bead stringing simply involves running a
thin wire or a nylon filament string (that's where the word"
stringing" comes from) through the holes in an assortment of
beads to create beautiful necklaces, bracelets, or anklets. With
all the colors and types of beads available these days the
number of different jewelry pieces you can make is virtually
limitless.

To complete your jewelry stringing pieces you just need to
learn a few simple finishing techiques like how to add a jump
ring and a clasp so that you can wear the jewelry piece. You
can master those finishing techniques in a short period of time.

Once you've done that you will be equipped to create some
very nice handcrafted jewelry pieces in no time at all.

Can You Really Make Money Without Spending Money?

Author: Goddie

Article:

You don't need a magic matra or any prophet to predict that
you are probably wasting your time with Clickbank and some
affiliate programs. Some of the people who buy into these
deceptions are often newbies-those who are not experienced
in online marketing. Because they lack proper advice, they are
carried away by the fierce marketing ingenuity of the veteran
marketers who have colonized Clickbank and adword keywords.

If you are not an experienced marketer try and avoid any affiliate
program. This may sound stupid, but the recent survey shows
there are only 4% of affiliate marketers who spend hours online
doing business that are actually making money. What happens to
the rest 96%? The truth is that every internet business is not
suitable for everyone. The ability to start with the right internet
program will determine whether you will succeed online or
become one of the 96 % failures.

This is my kind suggestions:

1. Start your online experience with a guaranteed profitable
program.

2. Be connected to an internet marketer for mentorship and
coaching.

3. Learn from the veterans and do what they do.

4. Don't buy into any program or e-book until it has been tested
by a veteran.

5. Run away from affiliate programs, adwords, and adsense
unless you are following a successful coach.

I am currently a member of a program that meets the above
standards. How to join is listed below. Internet is a big world of
its own. You certainly don't have all the time and money to
waste. Below is a program I will recommend for you. I started
here and made serious money before venturing into full blown
internet marketing. This is the only online business program
that pays you for just being a member. Go here right now and
check it out.

8 Reasons To Start Your Own Internet Business Today

Author: Jeff Schuman

Article: Internet marketing is a smart thing to do.
Internet marketing is hot. Internet marketing is hip. In this
article we are going to look at why starting an internet
business is something you must do.

1. Make more money. Most people get started because they
need money for various reasons. Why you need more more
money is probably the driving factor to even be reading this
article.

2. Be your own boss. When you work at home on the internet
you answer to no one except yourself. Even if you like your
boss at your day job you will like yourself as a boss even
better.

3. Create multiple streams of income. Many people who start
an online business do it because they want to diversify their
income. This is a great idea considering what is going on in
the work place today. Having money coming in from more
than just a paycheck is a smart thing to do.

4. The sky is the limit. Right now you know what your
paycheck from your job is going to be. With an internet
business you can make more money today and tomorrow
you can make even more. This is very addictive when it
happens that way.

5. Set your own hours. Working at home let's you work when
you have time. Make no mistake, you do have to work. But
you decide when you want to work based on your schedule
each day.

6. Create security for your family. What happens if you are
injured and can not go to work anymore? An internet business
can become an ongoing income and you can teach your spouse
how to work at it as well. This is the protection everyone
should have.

7. It is fun. Working on the internet from the comfort of your
own home is great. This is really true if you start an internet
business of your own based on an area you have an interest in.
Many jobs today are boring. You can get in a rut and just go to
work everyday for the paycheck. Starting an internet
business of your own around something that interests you will
always be fun.

8. You can branch out once you learn the ropes. Many internet
marketers started with one website and now have several
websites they manage. This is like setting up your own
business empire and you get to do it without ever leaving your
front door.

I could write more reasons about why you must start an
internet business of your own. These are some of my own
favorites. Perhaps you should grab a piece of paper and start
a list of your own.

Why This Is The Best Home Business To Start

Author: Jeff Schuman

Article:

When you think about what is the best home business to start
you may be looking for a referral to one specific opportunity. I
personally think starting a home business on the Internet
isessential.

Let's take a closer look at this question and see if I can help.

First of all the best home business to start is one where you
have a personal belief in the products. One of the reasons many
people fail online with Internet marketing is they have no
attachment to the product.

This is especially true for affiliate marketing and network
marketing where people get sold on the making money
opportunity and not so much on the product itself.

So the best home business to start in my opinion is on the
Internet selling something you believe in. Even better is one
where you have a white hot you passion for it.

The hardest thing to do when you are getting started on the
Internet is choosing what to sell. One way to do that would
be to turn a hobby of yours into a business at home.

Then go find products to sell here:

1. Associate Programs
2. Commission Junction
3. Clickbank
4. Google Adsense
5. Max Bounty

This is a list of 5 affiliate programs you can join for free and
then find products to sell that relate to the hobby you are going
to turn into a home business.

These programs let you make money selling products, leads,
advertising, and ebooks. This is known as pay per sale, pay
per lead, and pay per click. Even better is to sell a product or
service of your own if you have one.

So what do I think the best way to make money on the
Internet is? I personally like sales and marketing. My
background and my career for 20 years was in that field so
I have some expertise there, plus I really enjoy it.

I like to help people so I got started online with a home
business that teaches people how to make money on the
internet.

I do 3 things now to make money.

1. Article Writing which provides a service people need.

2. Affiliate Marketing which lets me get paid selling other
people's stuff. I will also include private label right products
which have an affiliate marketing program attached to them.

3. My Power Mall which is my choice for long term residual
income and is kind of a hybrid of affiliate marketing and network
marketing.

Let's summarize this for you so you can get started today.

The best home business to start is one where you can use the
Internet to make money around a hobby or theme you have a
passion for. Finding products online is easy to do if you do not
have one of your own. Selling a variety of things via pay per
sale, pay per lead, and pay per click gives you a multitude of
ways to make money when you first start out.

Hopefully you have gotten a few ideas from this article on
how to do that!

The Copyright Royalty Board (CRB)

The Copyright Royalty Board (CRB) has announced its
decision on Internet radio royalty rates, rejecting all of
the arguments made by Webcasters and instead adopting
the "per play" rate proposal put forth by SoundExchange
(a digital music fee collection body created by the RIAA).

RAIN has learned the rates that the Board has decided on,
effective retroactively through the beginning of 2006.
They are as follows:
2006 - $.0008 per performance
2007 - $.0011 per performance
2008 - $.0014 per performance
2009 - $.0018 per performance
2010 - $.0019 per performance

Internet Radio Is Under Attack

To Whom It May Concern:
(Internet addresses are provided below)

This is in response to the attack made on Internet Radio by
CARP. I have at this time, decided I will never buy another
CD by any artist YOU license or promote. This is due to your
greed expressed through CARP. If your establishment, industry
or office has so little disregard for me that you would take away
my personal freedom of Internet Radio, than your music, or
your client’s music is not welcome in my house and will not be
played on my computer, my radio, my stereo, or any other
device I own. I will not provide revenue for any one who threatens
to assault my freedom of choice.

I am not against any artist or composer being paid for their
work. However, I am against ANYONE telling me they are
going to shut down or threaten my source of news and
entertainment.

Like Hiking The Fields?

Whether your just hiking or doing field experiments, you need
to keep a few things in mind, you are NOT at home in a recliner
watch your favorite TV program. When a person goes out into
the field or woodland hiking for pleasure or working, there are
a few things to remember. One, you are in somewhat of a
wilderness, not sitting in a nice, safe room looking at papers
or a computer screen. Remember that! Anything can happen
in the outdoors.

In today’s world, people usually hike on well prepared and
maintained trails. These trails are often patrolled by Rangers
or Game Wardens. But, what about the individuals that go
out where there are no maintained trails, no Rangers on
patrol, and where the chances of injury or being lost are
high?

If you are out hiking in a field or the forest, or even just a
few feet from the highway, always remember to keep your
mind on what you are doing and your surroundings. Do not
let problems at work or at home or the angry person on the
highway that passed you and gave you, a one-fingered salute
distract you. Being outdoors in the woods can sometimes be
dangerous if you do not use common sense and think about
the objective, your hike, your photos, or field research.

If you park beside the highway as you begin your fieldwork
or hiking, pay attention to what is going on around you.
Always look around your feet when you are getting out of
the car or truck. Is the ground rocky or muddy? Are there
any wild dogs or snakes around you? Is there Ice on the
gravel or rocks? When you step into the tall grass, is there
really ground under the grass or some hole being hidden by
the grass. Take your time and look around thoroughly. Your
time out there is important to you or you wouldn’t be there,
so use all of your senses.

Look, Listen, and even smell. Many encounters with wild
creatures have been associated with strong and sometimes
foul smells. Next, before you walk into the grass or trees
know where you parked your car! This might sound odd,
but in the past, I have been on trips and came out of the
trees and brush almost ¼ of a mile from where I parked
my truck!

Always carry a compass in your pack and know which direc-
tion you are going away from your car. Then just go the
opposite direction on the way back and you should have no
trouble coming out of the trees close to where you entered
the woods.

TELL someone where you are going to be at and about when
you think you will be coming back. There are enough missing
person's reports without rescue teams having to add you to
the list. Cell phones do come in handy. A survival kit (small
one) is needed. Even if you are conducting an experiment or
doing a report in a High-rise building, or gated community,
always think ahead.

In the Woods, remember while you are out there in the woods,
even a grassy field, you will not always be able to see what is in
the grass. From a puddle of water to a rabbit hole, to a rotted
log you just happen to trip over. Stepping in water in February
is a sure way to put a damper your spirits. Wet feet will slow
you down every time, as well as blister your feet.

Always try to be in good physical shape. Walking up a steep
hillside is a big difference from walking in a parking lot. You
do not want to get out 5 miles from nowhere and have a heart
attack right. Think about what you will need. Water, snack,
Binoculars, note pad, video camera (and a back up camera in
case something happens to the first one). Are just a few things.
Do not wear sandals to go walking in snow or mud. Just use
your head and common sense and you will have a fantastic
experience that you can enjoy.

Stop every few minutes and look hard at where you are and
WHAT is happening around you. Don't always keep looking
at the ground, look around yourself. Don't let your emotions
or pride ruin what could be good quality time. So many times
pride has ruined a good field trip. Leave your anger and
worries at work and just enjoy the hike.

Don't try to be Superhuman in a bad situation. I have run
into some very difficult situations and went running to the
car or truck and locking myself in, is not something to be
ashamed of. Enjoy your time spent outdoors and be safe.

Apartment Life

We live in an apartment complex that has just been sold.
With the selling, came higher rent prices we didn’t like. It
seems the complex already charges the highest price on
rent south of Atlanta or at least in this county. Thank you
Olympic games! When the games came in, living expenses
went sky high all over Atlanta. Ask them to prove it didn’t.

However, we have decided to stick out for at least one more
year. We have a pretty good neighbor up front, Allan C.
who never bothers anyone. Never! And then …. we have
this twenty something year old teenager across from him
who thinks he has the right material to be a Rap Star. Not!
If he is going to try, I do wish he'd take lessons.

But I guess that’s a fact of life living in apartments. Quite
frankly, I like apartment living when things are going smooth,
even though I know the water will get choppy at the drop of
a hat. I don’t have the time to business to run and I want to
be sure I stay on top of things as much as possible. At least
for a while.

My wife likes soft rock, some Spanish (which I can’t under-
stand), and country music. She has one or two stations she
watches on TV of Gospel music. As far as myself, I’ve
become highly selective about what I watch and what I
listen to. Most of my music now is Classical, my TV shows
are mainly documentaries, CSI and Law And Order. I have
an interest in Hypnosis and what makes people tick. At one
time, I developed this fascination with totally confusing
people, still enjoy it. I listen to a lot of pod cast. I just love
my little player.

Back In The States And Lonely

You’ll have to buy my book to get the whole story, it’s a wide
variety a little of everything and a lot of it I guarantee you
has never crossed your mind. But being back in the states
and being lonely didn’t mean I went out to find the
companionship of another woman. I didn’t do that and
couldn’t agree with anyone that did. To me, marriage is not
the game some people act like it is, marriage is the love and
devotion two people have for each other that runs soul deep
…..or at least it should. The way I see it, if a guy is into playing
around, his best bet is to stay single. Don’t make the vows if
you don’t intend to keep them.

What’s that? What’s with all the “high-lighted” words here?
If you’re that curious, check out a few and see if you catch the
message. There is a message, several infact.

Anyway, back to my story.

I was lonely, I had left the Philippines and my new bride
behind. Needing to occupy my mind and make a little extra
money, I went back to ebaying. Ebay was a great way to
make a few extra dollars, if you didn’t have to put out a lot
of money on something to sell. But I had no clue as to what
to try selling. So, I began to dig into ebay’s sales page to see
what other people were doing. Up until now, it had been an
item here and an item there.

After a few days, I stumbled across a webpage selling wigs.
One thing I knew nothing at all about. But hey, they were
factory closeouts, they were dirt-cheap and all brand new.
I went back and did searches for wigs on ebay, they were
quite a few people selling them but at a lot higher price than
what I could get them for.

I put in a call to the company to ask them a few questions,
I asked about a minimum quantity I would have to order.
There was none, that sounded pretty good to me if I could
move them. Turn around time was about ten days, so I sent
in an order for five with a form for each one. When they
arrived, I wasted no time in putting them up to sell with
whatever information I had on them. I couldn’t believe it, at
the end of my auctions, every one I put up on ebay to sell
was sold and I had a tidy profit. I placed another order and
while I waited for that order to get back to me, I went
around to yard sales looking for something I thought might
sell. I made a few dry runs at that, but hey – I was learning.

I managed to do pretty well with those wigs for quite a while,
but when the sales stopped, it was without warning. People
were still selling some, but my sales had dropped like a rock
with an anchor attached to it. There I was, stuck with a half
dozen wigs and little hope of moving them.

Then I began to try something else, books from yard sales,
they did pretty good if I posted them cheap enough. I never
tried to sell tools, clothes, or electronics because I just didn’t
think I could move them and make a profit. Yard sale
merchandise is actually what kept me in ebay after the wigs
bottomed out, I made some good money, but then I’ve also
ended up with a lot of things I couldn’t move.

A good lesson I learned was, try to have another outlet for
the things you get that don’t sell well on ebay, don’t price
everything at store prices. People go to ebay for a good bar-
gain, if they see a store price on what you’ve posted, they’ll
pass you by. Keep the prices low, ad some zip to your ad
titles, have good clear pictures, mention every little thing
you can about the item. Offer to answer any questions
prospective customers might have, and I’ve had some real
zingers. A digital camera is a great tool, but so is a scanner.
If the item is too small, the camera doesn’t catch the great-
est details. On a lot of books, CD’s, VHS tapes, I use the
scanner to scan the cover; they usually come out really clear.
On electronic items, I sometimes use a showdow box, more
about that later. It's not very complicated and its free info.

I’ll get into ebooks on my next posting maybe. Money in the
bank.

There is only one way to find out how good you’ll do, that
is to try it.

Leaving On A Jet Plane

Marsha Flew back to Manila with me, and as a type of
entertainment, the hostess had this game to play with
passengers. It was singing the lines to “Leaving On A
Jet Plane”, which go like this:

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye

But the dawn is breakin', it's early morn
The taxi's waitin', he's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome I could die

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go

'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go

There's so many times I've let you down
So many times I've played around
I'll tell you now, they don't mean a thing

Every place I go,
I think of youEvery song
I sing, I sing for you

When I come back
I'll wear your wedding ring
So kiss me and smile for me

Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go
'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane

I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh, babe, I hate to go ......

That song sure hit close to home ...... and heart.

That plane ride was easier to endure than the next because
she was with me. Leaving the airport in Manila would be an
all together different story. As I got on that plane, my heart
sank. I had fallen in love and married a Philippine beauty, and
had to leave her behind. That did not sit well. I felt like life
shouldn’t be so complicated.

Next time, I'll tell you about how I spent my time after
returning to the states. I'll tell you now, I wasn't partying
around. Nope, never did before, wasn't about to now.

Till then .....

Cebu City

The next morning, I boarded Cebu Pacific Airlines and headed
for Cebu. Dan, the guy I met the night before helped me out
some at the ticket desk, and went on his way. He was going to
meet a business contact there at the domestic airport, before
leaving for Cebu City on a later flight.

That was some flight, about 40 minutes after take off, the
plane was landing. I still remember the feeling I had, as the
plane came in for a landing, a feeling went through me like I
was coming home. To be honest, I had the same feeling every
time I went back.

At the airport, I looked around for my soon to be bride.
Instead, some guy I had never seen before came to the rail
calling to me. He said, “Your friend is outside”. I followed
him out and it took me only seconds to realize, he didn’t
really know where she was himself. He pointed first one way,
then the next. But, I saw Marsha first, she was a dream come
true.

She had already rented me a room at the Fuente Pension
House. After we arrived there and I dropped my bags in my
room, we headed for the Roof Top Café for a delicious meal of
Philippine cooking. This is a real open air café overlooking the
city. It is located in the Pension House for the guest, and
considered to be a portion of the roof. Down on the street below,
I could hear the “Beep-Beep” sound of taxi’s and Jeepney’s.
I soon learned Pedicabs were also a familiar sight there. These
are bicycles or motorcycles with a built on passenger cab.

The time I spent there with Marsha let me know without
doubt, she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life
with. She still is! The following weekend, we were married
there in Cebu City.

When it was time for me to leave and return to the states, she
couldn’t come with me. As it would turn out, she wouldn’t get
to come for three years. I went back as often as I could, and
each time I did, it was wonderful. Each time it left me not
wanting to leave.

In all of the places I have been to in Asia, the Philippines
remains close to my heart.

Time To Get To Know Me -- Maybe

Later Hi, I’m Lee Peal, I live in Newnan, Georgia now. Newnan
is located in the Southeastern part of the United States. I am
married to a lovely Filipina from Cebu City on the island of
Cebu near the center of the Philippines. I am in my 50’s and
have been a guard for 22 years. I decided to put this webpage
together to tell a little about myself, my family, my on going
education, and the business ventures and activities I’m ether
involved in now or have been involved in. But, I suppose I
should first tell the reader a little of where I came from. So,
here goes.

Some people probably wonder why I went half way around
the world to find the love of my life. Quite frankly, that’s not
the way things started out. I was lonely and wanted a pen
friend to talk too. I had a magazine of some kind, I think on
survival, but may have been something else. In the back
were advertisements for pen friend services, and I thought
I would give it shot.

I mailed off my order for I think eight lists, each list contained
about nine names and addresses of Asian women seeking pen
friends. When my order came in, I followed the instructions,
sat down and wrote each woman on my lists a letter telling
them a little about me and enclosing two pictures. The next
step was to mail them off and wait …and wait…and eventually
the letters began to roll in one after the other. According to
my instructions, I was supposed to write each one back.
Which I did….almost. There were a couple I couldn’t bring
myself to write back to and I’ll leave it at that.

When the letters came in, I went through them one by one.
But, there was a certain letter I kept reading over and over.
Her letter didn’t have the same feel as the other letters. She
was different somehow, she basically wrote the same type of
letter the other women did, still her letter had a different feel
to it. She wrote back, I wrote back. As the letters came in,
they went to the trash, except her letters. Time after time,
our letters crossed the Pacific …..again, and again, and again.

Eventually, the time came that I just had to meet this
Philippine Jewel. The first trip was miserable. I swear
Murphy’s Law was in full swing. I took off from Atlanta
bound for Dallas Texas, no problem. Then from Dallas Texas
to Japan, will somebody please tell me why that plane just
had to skirt around Alaska. When we reached Japan, we
were late. Philippine Airlines had already left. That meant I
had to wait about three hours for the next plane. By the time
I got to Manila, the domestic airport I was to catch my next
plane in had already shut down.

Now, here I was, a stranger in a strange city in a country I had
never been too before. And I must say, one I had never heard
very much about. The only American I thought and as far as
I could tell, the only person around me that could speak English.
I thought, now this is going to be a fun night. Then another
American walked up and introduced himself. His name was Dan
(something), he was in Manila for business.

As we talked and got acquainted, h told me about his business.
He said he comes in about eight or nine times a year for a couple
of weeks and leaves. I don’t know how it worked, but he said he
would come to the Philippines and purchase vacation packages,
take them back to the United States and sell them. At first, I
did think there could possibly be that much profit to it, until he
told me he would buy no less than 50 which would usually cost
him around $5,000. He said he would have the money wired to
a seller’s back in the Philippines and have a courier to transport
them back to the United States. The in the U.S., he would sell
the packages for roughly ten times what they cost him.

Gee Whiz! He pays $5,000 here for something he can sell in
the states for $50,000, and he never touches the merchandise?
Now, today I am wishing I could remember this guy’s full
name and address, but the card he gave me was lost some-
where during my stay.

Now, did you catch the lesson here, there is one very good
one if you can find it. Try checking the links behind some of
the words, that’s where they are. There is a lot more to
come, so keep checking back. You just may learn something
you didn’t know was possible.

“Monkey See, Monkey Do”

The Public Domain and “Monkey See, Monkey Do”
by Harval Pearce

As a Public Domain researcher, determining whether or not a book, image, audio or video resource is in the Public Domain can be a daunting task,
unless your best friend happens to be a copyright lawyer. I
have discovered some secret ways to “allow” others to do
some of that copyright research for you, at no cost to you.
Now, I am not a lawyer (and do not play one on TV), so I do
not offer this information to you as legal advice, but this app-
roach has saved me a lot of time and effort and has proven
extremely valuable in my own Public Domain research. Here
is the “secret” strategy: Discover what other information
publishers are already selling, then obtain your own copy and
sell the same thing. Monkey see, monkey do. Here’s what I
mean…

I’m sure most of you have heard of Dover Publications. I
doubt that there is any company who has developed and
utilized Public Domain content more than Dover Publications.
Let’s say you see that Dover has republished an older publi-
cation that would fit well within your niche market. Chances
are very likely that since they are publishing it, they’ve
already done the copyright research to determine that the
resource is indeed in the Public Domain (as a matter of fact,
I’m quite certain they’ve done that research). Now that
DOESN’T mean that you can order a copy of Dover’s
product and then reproduce it for your own purposes. They
have their own version copyrighted or protected by license.
What it DOES mean, however, is that you can locate your
own original copy of the resource and develop it with some
confidence that it is copyright-free. I always say that you
cannot look for something that you do not know exists.
Researching Dover’s database (also know as their catalogs)
helps you “find” those gems, of which you were previously
unaware.

Here are a couple websites that demonstrate the power of
this “secret”:

http://ayerpub.com/CategoryPage.asp
http://www.euriskodata.com
http://www.higginsonbooks.com/index.html

To maximize your research results using these types of
websites, be sure to:

1. Take a look at the products they are selling. Many of these
are based on Public Domain resources, and in some cases,
might even be exact reprints. The products they offer will
give you a good idea of just what is available...think about it
...there is a reason why THEY are selling it, right?! And it
certainly aids in your quest to have actual titles for the
books that fit your niche.

2. Pay attention to the information they offer about the
books or products they are selling. This is the same infor-
mation you can use to locate your own copy. Often they
will include the title, author, year of original publication
and more. Armed with that information, you can head
over to Abebooks or Alibris and search for the book there.
You can even plug the info into your favorite search
engine. Who knows, the book may turn up being online.
Remember, there are 85 million Public Domain books out
there.

Use their resources as a bibliography to discover obscure
titles by authors that may not be listed anywhere else. In
some cases, you may discover a complete listing of titles by
your author on these sites. Use this list as your own check-
list to find the books that will best serve your niche through
Ebay, Abebooks, local used bookstores or libraries (or one
of many other online or offline places).

Whatever you do, do NOT underestimate the value of this
type of Public Domain research. Many of my own greatest
Public Domain discoveries were made at some of these
types of sites. Take time to get to know these types of
websites—research them. You just might strike gold!

content into pure gold here: CLICK HERE!

Kevin Smith

On Saturday evening, March 10, Kevin fell violently ill at
home and was rushed to hospital by ambulance. At the
time, he was unable to stand, and could not open his eyes.
He could occassionally answer a question. His blood pressure
was 239/133 and things were not looking good.

Cat scans and MRI revealed he had suffered a stroke.
Amazingly, he began to make a very rapid recovery. Many
of you have been praying for him, and it has apparently been
just what was needed. Although weakened, he seems to have
made a full recovery. His eyesight and speech are not impaired,
and there is no paralysis in any part of his body. It would appear
he will be able to make a complete recovery and return to
themic relatively soon. Kevin has asked me to convey to you
his sincere gratitude for your prayers.I talked with him last
night, and he is looking forward to getting back tothe microphone
as soon as possible.

Folks, in his own way, radio talk show host Kevin Smith is a real

Do You Drink Carbonated Soft Drinks?

I’ll ask the question again, “Do you drink carbonated soft
drinks?” if you do, maybe you would like to try this little
experiment with one. All you’ll need is a pint jar with a
screw on top that can be resealed. Any glass pint jar that
fits the description with do. You’ll need note pad, a hotdog
wiener, and of course a cola type carbonated soft drink.

Now, pour the soft drink into the jar and be sure to leave
at least two inches of space between the soft drink and the
top of the jar. Add the whole wiener to the jar, screw the
top back on. Now, over the next few hours watch what
happens and make your notes. You just might find your-
self not believing your eyes.

One thing is for sure, you will never look at one of them
in the same way again.

How much TV do you watch?

Your mindset is in fact, your unconscious, and yet it
drives every action and reaction you make whether
you realize it or not, and the results show in whatever
profession you are involved with as well as your life.
There has been a boatload of talk about mindsets in
recent years, but very few people know what they
are and even less know how to address and change
them.

In a nutshell, your mindset is your mental programm-
ing, and to a very large extent, we are all programmed
and being programmed everyday by the society we
live in, our surroundings, where we work, by the people
we associate with, and where we worship. Our mindset
is determined by the combination of all these
experiences and more. Our values, beliefs, self-image,
attitudes, and habits that are lodged in our unconscious
mind form our mindset. They determine every action,
reaction, and every result we have in our life. You can
typically double or triple your results by dealing with
the very causality that forms the foundation of our
mindset. I have witnessed this time and time again,
and I’ve personally experienced it in my own life.

Whatever we tell ourselves over and over, it leaves
an imprint on our subconscious mind much like the
grooves of a record. The same thing keeps repeating,
and repeating and our results never change. Have
you ever heard the old saying, “If you keep doing
what you’ve always done, you’ll keep getting what
you’ve always gotten?” That is very much the truth.

Every time we turn on the TV, we are bombarded by
commercial after commercial with the fast paced
“Lettering”, the “Flashing” of images on the screen.
Now, think about all of those commercials you see
everyday or night and ask yourself how the commercial
may have influenced your thinking. Bet you have to
admit, it did at least a little bit. What if you watch that
same commercial over and over again, how deep in
your subconscious mind did it leave an impression?

All of this has been proven to leave subliminal
messaging on our subconscious mind. This subliminal
messaging does work. If you have any doubts, watch
someone suck on a lemon and see what goes through
your mind. Sit down to relax, turn the TV on and see
a commercial about someone quenching a thirst, then
see if you suddenly become thirsty. Watch someone
yawn, how much time passed before you yawned
yourself?

Think about the last song you heard on the radio.
Was it a happy song, or was it a song of “Deep, dark
depression”? What did the song have to say that was
positive? Did the singer sing of a divorce, did they
sing of losing every thing they had? Did the singer
sing about getting drunk, on drugs, owing more than
they could pay, or some impeding disaster? What did
the words of the song say to you? How many times
have you heard that same song, and what impression
did it leave on your subconscious mind? Did it leave
you with a feeling of comfort, or a feeling of despair?
Did the song leave you feeling good about life, your
family, did you rejoice or did it leave you feeling
numb? What did you feel after you listened to the
song?

If I tell you not to think about your bills, what do
you end up thinking about? If I say something like,
“Gee, you sure look down in the dumps today”,
what effect does it have on you? If you happen to
see someone at work you are not particularly fond
of, but tolerate, how does it make you feel? Like it
or not, we are all mentally programmed everyday
by someone or some thing. If we don’t get control
of what goes into our subconscious mind, whatever
goes in will get control of us. Now, doesn’t this make
you want to pay a little more attention to what you
listen too? It does me.

And I’ll leave it on that note till next time.

The Brick

A young and successful executive was traveling down
a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new
Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from bet-
ween parked cars and slowed down.

When he thought he saw something As his car passed,
no children appeared.Instead, a brick smashed into the
Jag's side door! He slammed on the brakesand backed
the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been
thrown.

The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed
the nearest kid and pushed him up againsta parked car
shouting, "What was that all about and who are you?
Just what the heck are you doing? That's a new car and
that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why
did you do it?"

The young boy was apologetic. "Please, mister...please,
I'm sorry but I didn't know what else to do," He pleaded.
"I threw the brick because no one else would stop..."
With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the
youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car. "It's
my brother, "he said "He rolled off the curb and fell out
of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up."

Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive,
"Would you please help me get him back into his
wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me."
Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow
the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. He hurriedly
lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair,
then took out a linen handkerchief and dabbed at the
fresh scrapes and cuts.

A quick look told him everything was going to be okay.
"Thank you and may God bless you," the grateful
child told the stranger. Too shook up for words, the
man simply watched the boy! Push his wheelchair-
bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home.

It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The
damage was very noticeable, but the driver never
bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the
dent there to remind him of this message:

"Don't go through life so fast that someone has to
throw a brick at you to get your attention!"

God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts.
Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He
has to throw a brick at us. It's our choice to listen
or not.

Down Time

Okay, that’s enough down time. Now its time for me
to get busy and make this blog work. By that, I mean
to make this blog what it didn’t start out to be – a
blog for a payday.

I must confess, I do not enjoy putting on that uniform
every day and driving forty miles to work (which
takes me an hour), getting off at 10PM and driving
forty miles back home. That’s ridicules! The air
pollution people are out in numbers telling us to car
pool but never stop to think about those of us who
have no way to make that work for us. Maybe they
can car pool or ride a bus, but there are vast numbers
of us who can’t. If we end up being born without a silver
spoon in our mouth, we have to work for a living. Often
times, that means driving, driving, and driving.

As I looked at the paycheck situation, work situation,
and the chances I’d win the lottery jackpot, I decided
to put my noggin to work on a plan to make money
without the lottery. Anyway, I think I stand a better
chance of being struck by lightning than hitting the
jackpot. So, making a paycheck with this blog is the
direction I’m going to concentrate on now.

Nuff said for now.

Prank Calls Are Illegal

I do not enjoy being disturbed at 6:12 AM with
annoying phone calls from people who have
nothing better to do than make prank phone
calls. So far, they have made four prank calls
and all within a 30 minute time period. I have
my cell phone on constantly for my on purposes,
not prank callers. I checked the number through
the reverse phone number lookup tools, so I know
that caller is from Oakland, California. They
are calling from 510-712-1874, and it appears to
be a cell phone.

I called my carrier and at this time I don’t
have a way of blocking this caller. But, if they
persist in making further calls, I will be glad
to let the authorities handle the matter. By the
way, the city, state, and number they called from
is below. Get the message? Prank calls are illegal.
I will be posting this note again later on.

Look .....Up In The Sky ..... Its A Weather Balloon!

Well, I guess its about time I got back to this Blog
and tried to make something of it. Quite frankly, I
need some time to just sit back and relax some place
without the hustle and bustle of every day get up an
run at it.

I know quite a few people that sat up to watch the
old year leave and the new year come in. I just
could get interested in watching something I couldn’t
see coming or going myself. I spend enough time being
up and about at midnight anyway, getting in bed at a
descent hour seems more important than bragging about
watching for something everyone else is. Anyway, if
anyone does see it, they’ll hide it on the back page
of the newspapers somewhere or call it a figment of
someone’s imagination, weather balloon, or a weird
weather phenomena. For some reason, the big shots
have a hard time telling the truth about anything.
Its almost like they do their best to see how stupid
we are, doesn’t say much for their intelligence though.

Ya know, if we were invaded by some great unknown
force, we probably wouldn’t hear about it till we
saw the smoke rising from town
. Its really unthinkable
(for a lot of us) that we are the only beings around
that know how to leave a mark in history. I dare say
though, humans are probably the only creature’s around
that try to prove we know every thing when all the
evidence points to the fact we don’t know half of it.
Kinda like some high flung college professor that keeps
saying the pyramids were built by men stupid enough to
try and drag multi-ton stones across desert sands.
What’s worse, is the grim fact the young impressionable
minds tax dollars pay him to teach – believe him.
